What is the Healthcare Resurgence Grant?
In June 2009, WORKFORCE plus was awarded the Healthcare Resurgence Grant to offer training in the medical field that would aid approximately 525 customers in Gadsden, Leon and Wakulla counties. This grant funding would assist local area residents in getting back to work in medical field occupations and build onto their career ladders. Funding for this grant ended on June 14, 2010.
Eligibility
To be eligible for financial and educational assistance through this grant, participants had to meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Ages 16 or older
- Gadsden, Leon or Wakulla resident
- U.S. citizen authorized to work in the U.S.
- Be registered for Selective Service if a male over the age of 18, born after 1959
