WORKFORCE plus' Reinvest Local Program provided training and certification in high demand fields such as medical and green building to area job seekers. Additionally, the program partnered with local employers to provide work experience opportunities to enhance existing skills to over 60 job seekers and dislocated workers through subsidized employment. The program’s job placement component also affords them the ability to receive assistance with searching for employment, creating a polished resume and preparing for interviews.

What is the Workforce Investment Act Grant?

WORKFORCE plus has been awarded funding to provide area jobseekers an opportunity to obtain career advancing training in an effort to increase their marketable skills. Funding is available for up to $5,000 per eligible individual.

What is the Healthcare Community Challenge?

WORKFORCE plus has been awarded a $300,000 grant from Workforce Florida Inc. to provide area job seekers an opportunity to receive free training to become Pharmacy Technicians or Health Information Technicians.
